    What is binding?

    Version: Stand 2026.09

For everyday work, what you see here applies. If an older file, PDF or template contradicts the brandbox, the brandbox wins. Behind the brandbox sit the brand documents maintained by Brand Management; the brandbox is the reference published from them for day-to-day use. Where the brandbox ever deviates, the brand document prevails, and the deviation should be reported to Brand Management. Chapters marked "In progress" are not final yet.

    Change log

    1. Reels & Stories: videos end with the official Padel-Point outro animation instead of a claim end frame, a button CTA may sit centred below the wordmark. The video itself stays logo-free, the logo appears only in the outro.

    2. Claim contest closed: contest page, evaluation, longlist and recommendation have been removed from the brand box, old links lead to the home page. Court branding: the link to the internal setup guide has been removed.

    3. Retail / Store: new section motion on screens. Text in videos with cuts never stands still (subtle push-in or drift until the cut), exception for info displays with a long hold (soft build-up, then still, at most one catcher on the key information). Court branding: screens in third-party venues carry permanent branding, wordmark or lockup in one corner at minimum size, 5 % margin. Cutting pace is deliberately left open.

    4. Retail / Store, glass: what does the glass show? If it shows no product (collection bin, partition), large-area film is allowed. Vinyl cut only on a calm background, function before surface (openings, flaps 3 cm clear), the back of transparent objects. Overlay: highlight bar on film hard-edged with no fade; on carriers in a space one blue bar line replaces the accent line.

    5. Taglines: new category Advantage Earth Programme with "Don't throw it away. Throw it in." and "Played flat? In here." for ball collection points. Padel-Point names the action, not the attitude.

    6. Retail / Store: format of the category showcard set, landscape 450 x 160 mm.

    7. Colours: the indicator triangle now has two positions. Before the line (default) it is rotated 90° clockwise, tip pointing right. New: above the line, e.g. in centred layouts and narrow portrait formats, rotated 180°, tip pointing down and centred above the text (align the tip, not the triangle edge, because the shape is asymmetric). The tip always points to the marked text; left and up do not exist. Size in both positions: visible height = cap height of the marked line.

    8. Guidelines: new page Retail / Store. For Padel-Point, the Tennis-Point store is level 2; every Padel-Point surface carries the wordmark itself. Facade types A, B, C, shop windows in three layers (tension banner, product, footer), no monogram on shop windows in Tennis-Point stores, photo motifs permanently with the wordmark. Colours: category showcard as the only blue surface in the space. Tone of voice: store taglines "Ask us. We play too." and "Here's the shop. There's the court." Court branding: "no text on glass" applies to clear court glass.

    9. Tone of voice: tagline "300 rackets. One fits." replaces "2,000 rackets". The number was not backed up; the shop lists more than 300 padel rackets. Error page example adjusted accordingly.

    10. Claim: "never on glass" clarified. It refers to clear glass. An opaque vinyl band in a system colour is a carrier of its own and counts as a banner; the claim sits white on black there. Court glass walls stay free of text. Occasion: Padel-Point x Wilson display case in a partner venue.

    11. Prompt baseline extended with guidelines: court branding with space levels, the nine court zones, logo variants, glass rules, rules in third-party venues, legibility at a distance, mandatory small print on large formats and no-gos. These rules now reach the AI tools as well.

    12. AI labelling: print no longer has a fixed position. With no interface overlays and no fixed positions of other elements, the layout decides by visual flow and hierarchy; size, the 3 mm minimum and visibility still apply. Digital stays top, top right by default, top left if a logo sits on the right.

    13. Colours: the indicator triangle is rotated 90° clockwise relative to the file in every use, tip pointing right, including the large display. Before, only the list marker was rotated. Tone of voice: the hyphen rule now names Padel-Point only. Brand tokens v1.8.

    14. Tone of voice: new section brand name with the hyphen rule and the legal entity (Padel-Point is a brand of Tennis-Point Europe GmbH). Colours: colour values only from the system, never picked with an eyedropper, do not compare screen and print values. Court branding: mandatory small print on large formats, at least 1/10 of the eye-catcher and around 3 mm cap height per metre of reading distance.

    15. Social layout grid: all wireframes show the AI label in the default top right position; in the 4:5 example the monogram moves to the bottom right.

    16. New: prompt baseline at /de/prompt-baseline.md and /en/prompt-baseline.md. The brand box chapters as one Markdown document for AI tools, generated from the same texts, locked parts stay out.

    17. AI labelling: digital minimum raised from 24 to 28 px (legibility). AI labelling: position is now a top corner, top right by default, top left if a logo sits on the right. Social layout grid: wireframes show the AI label (official EU icon), logo text extended with the label rule.

    18. Colours: functional warning colour added (#B54708). Shop states use the same functional colours as charts. Brand tokens v1.7.

    19. Colours: new section Charts. Colour follows the message, six checks, blue ramp for equal categories and steps as an exception to blue as punctuation, new functional colours for judgements. Brand tokens v1.6.

    20. Guidelines: new page AI labelling. Official EU label top right in all channels, size by area, never larger than the brand mark, minimum 24 px / 3 mm. Downloads: brand tokens for AI assistants, version in the footer.

    21. Colours: blue scale now steps evenly. Step 400 is now #1A7FEC (C90 M45 Y0 K0), 800 and 900 swapped places. Before, 400 was marginally darker than the core and 900 lighter than 800. Links and labels that still showed 400 instead of the CI colour #0071EA now use 500.

    22. Tone of voice: German tagline now reads „Frag uns. Wir spielen selber.“ (colloquial form, fits the advisory tone). English line unchanged.

    23. Brandbox: technical overhaul without content changes. Images downsized (page weight from 14 MB to under 1 MB), page titles and descriptions per chapter, link preview image, custom 404 and error pages, fonts served from the build instead of Google Fonts, keyboard focus, skip link and ARIA for tabs and menu, reduced motion, scroll hint on tables, chapter footer with previous and next, robots and sitemap.

    24. Image system: section on AI labelling added.

    25. Guidelines: distinction between gradient and highlight bar (overlay, newsletter) updated from the brand document.

    26. Image system: exception for hero, campaign and POS documented. Direct eye contact and planned reaction moments are allowed in this context only, plus the product rule for retail motifs. The three image types and credible game scenes remain the standard. Chapter set to valid.

    27. Start Here and Governance introduced: a guided entry by role and task, a chapter-status overview and a clear statement of what is binding.

    28. Guidelines: side-index navigation added. A fixed chapter index on desktop, a jump bar on mobile and a dedicated anchor for the overlay system, so the long page stays navigable.
