Retail / Store
Padel-Point in the Tennis-Point store: facade, shop windows, glass and space. The space explains the category, not the sender.
01
First: the store is level 2
For Padel-Point, a Tennis-Point store is level 2 of the context ladder (see Court Branding). The space explains the category, not the sender: whoever enters the store thinks Tennis-Point. A Padel-Point logo somewhere in the room does not explain the padel zone.
- Every Padel-Point surface in and on the store carries its sender itself.
- Photo motifs, tension banners and glass footers carry the wordmark.
- The facade belongs to Tennis-Point. Padel-Point becomes visible within it, as a signal, not a takeover.
02
Hierarchy on the facade
The Padel-Point wordmark is never larger or more prominent than the Tennis-Point sign on the same facade. The Tennis-Point logo on store signs follows the Tennis-Point rules: dark signs, no location suffix.
1. Tennis-Point
Main sender, dominant.
2. Padel-Point wordmark
Second sender, clearly visible, but smaller.
3. Tagline
Atmospheric or functional, optional.
Facade types
The types are named by principle, not by location, so they stay transferable. Which store gets which type is set by Brand Management in the store concept.
| Type | Situation | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| A | Yellow Tennis-Point facade with several windows | Padel-Point sign on one window away from the main entrance. The facade is not rebuilt, the main sign stays Tennis-Point. |
| B | Dark sign band across the front | Both wordmarks on the band, clearly separated. Tennis-Point dominates, yellow only in the ball. No lockup, no separator. |
| C | One window as a signal | Padel-Point replaces the 3D sign on the existing mount of that window. |
03
Shop windows in three layers
The glass stays marketable. A padel shop window works in three layers; sender and message sit in the same window.
| Layer | Carrier | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Back wall | Tension banner with a game motif | No product wall. Wordmark on the motif. |
| Product | Plinth, mannequin | Stands in front of the banner. Padel replaces tennis completely. |
| Footer | Film along the bottom edge of the pane | Atmospheric tagline in Fugaz One, wordmark centred above it. If the wordmark already sits in the window (tension banner), the footer carries the tagline only. One tagline per window. |
- No monogram on shop windows in Tennis-Point stores, neither outline nor filled.
- No tension banner and no film in front of a shop window with a display; the window would be blocked. Exception: privacy screen during an opening or refit.
- The footer is the level 2 lead layout on glass: sender and message on the same surface, because the space does not explain the sender.
04
Text and marks on glass
| Glass | Rule |
|---|---|
| Shop window in the store | Wordmark and atmospheric taglines allowed (footer, sign). RAISE YOUR GAME not on clear glass. |
| Opaque vinyl band | A carrier of its own, counts as a banner. Claim allowed. |
| Glass with no product behind it (collection bin, partition) | Large-area film allowed, stacked statements too. Vinyl cut on a calm, fixed background, otherwise opaque or highlight bar. No claim on clear glass. |
| Court glass | No text. |
- Technique: type and wordmark as vinyl-cut film, white or black depending on what is behind. Printed film only as a photo motif on assigned surfaces or as an opaque band.
- Minimum wordmark size: 400 mm wide as a sign (types A and C), in the footer according to reading distance.
- Clear space as in the logo chapter, on glass too.
- What does the glass show? If the view inside is the point (merchandise), keep the viewing area clear and put the brand in a band or at the edge. If the glass shows no product, large-area film is allowed.
- Changing background (e.g. the rising fill level of a collection bin): opaque or highlight bar instead of vinyl cut. The accent line needs a near-black ground; in highlight-bar mode exactly one blue bar line replaces the line.
- Highlight bar on film: hard-edged, no fade, opaque white film, starting at the carrier edge.
- Function before surface: drop openings, flaps, handles and locks stay clear, at least 3 cm.
- Objects transparent all round: vinyl cut reads mirrored from behind, opaque film shows its adhesive side. Back to the wall, reverse print or leave the back clear.
Hero monogram on glass
The large outline monogram across a whole pane is used only in spaces Padel-Point owns (level 1, own venue or own store), never in Tennis-Point stores.
05
Photo motifs
Photo motifs (printed film, tension banners) in padel zones and shop windows of Tennis-Point stores are allowed permanently on assigned surfaces and always carry the wordmark on the motif. Only coming-soon wraps and pure campaign film stay logo-free.
Replaces the former rule: no hero visual in the shop window, campaign motif for at most four weeks in one window panel.
06
Blue in the space
In the space, blue is an accent, not a coat of paint. A blue wall is not Padel-Point, a blue accent stripe on a sign is.
- Category showcard: a landscape card of 450 x 160 mm in padel blue (#0071EA) with white type, on the shelf or the pegboard. It is the only blue surface in the space. The format is fixed; larger blue surfaces are not allowed.
- Accent line and indicator triangle remain allowed as blue accents in addition, also next to a showcard.
- All other signs: white (#FDFDFD) or black (#181818), type in the opposite colour, no blue surfaces.
- Colour ratio in the space: 60 % neutral (walls, floor, shelving), 10 % accent (showcard, accent line, indicator triangle, price lines, screen UI), 30 % imagery.
07
Store taglines
Atmospheric taglines are set in Fugaz One, all caps. In the store they need the sender on the same carrier (footer) or in the same field of view. Two lines are set for the store.
Ask us. We play too.
Always allowed in the store, because stores are staffed. Used on facades, roof edges and in zones.
Here's the shop. There's the court.
Reverse of the event line "Here's the court. There's the shop." The "there" must point to a court motif on the same or the directly adjacent carrier (photo film, tension banner). Do not use it without that counterpart.
08
Motion on screens
Applies to all Padel-Point screens, in our own store as well as in third-party venues. Cutting pace is deliberately not regulated; it depends on the video shown.
- Text never stands still: in videos with cuts (text cards, text over image), text keeps moving after its entrance until the cut, e.g. a steady push-in or drift. Keep it subtle, guide value scale 1 to 1.025. Animating in and then holding is not enough.
- Exception for info displays with a long hold (a surface that has to be read, e.g. a discount code): text builds up softly and then holds still. Motion comes from the image (slow zoom) and from at most one catcher per loop on the key information, e.g. a light sweep across the code.
- In third-party venues, add permanent branding: wordmark or partnership lockup in one corner for the full running time, at minimum size (120 px wide). Text and logo keep at least 5 % margin to the frame edge.
09
Do and don't
Do
- Both wordmarks on a shared dark sign band, clearly separated, Tennis-Point dominant (type B).
- Wordmark on every photo motif and tension banner.
- One tagline per window, wordmark centred above it.
- Blue as a showcard, accent line or indicator triangle.
- Type and wordmark on glass as vinyl cut in white or black.
Don't
- Tennis-Point and Padel-Point in one lockup.
- Separators between the brands ("x", "|") on the same touchpoint.
- A Padel-Point wordmark larger or more prominent than Tennis-Point on the same facade.
- Monogram on shop windows in Tennis-Point stores.
- Tension banner or film in front of a shop window with a display.
- RAISE YOUR GAME on clear glass.
- Blue walls, shelves, floors or large colour areas.
- Monogram used as a pattern or wallpaper.
- Artificial turf, net decoration or other padel clichés as design elements.
